The B2B fashion industry generates a considerable amount of waste at every fashion week all around the globe. Air conditioning, paper catalogues and line sheets, collections shipping etc. Le New Black believes that it is necessary and possible to reduce this amount of waste by digitizing sales material and business to make them available 24/7.

History

Fashion weeks and commercial events multiply all around the world, in Paris, Milan, London, New York, but also in new fashion capitals. The fashion industry has never been more global and at the same time more difficult to reach as a whole. At the end of the 2000’, the traditional commercial B2B platforms and tools progressively reveal themselves insufficient to answer the needs of the actors of the industry and out of touch with our digitalized way of life. Following their enriching experience respectively in the fashion industry and in web development, Vidya Narine and Bernard Coulombel teamed up to launch Le New Black in 2009, an innovative solution for brands and retailers to do business together.

Vidya Narine

Founder - Sales Director

Graduated from Ecole du Louvre, Vidya Narine was named curator of the ANDAM Fashion Award collection for the Musée de Arts Décoratifs (Maison Martin Margiela, Christophe Lemaire, Bless, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, A.P.C, AMI Alexandre Mattiussi etc). She then worked as a consultant for the chain stores And A (Sazaby Group, Tokyo) with Agnès Chemetoff, and joined Surface to Air where she developed Rendez-Vous tradeshows until July 2009 (Acne, Richard Nicoll, Kitsuné, Opening Ceremony, etc.). Inspired by an extended and high-end knowledge of the international fashion industry, Vidya founded Le New Black in 2009 and leads the company since then.

Bernard Coulombel

CEO - Founder

Graduated from Rouen Business School, Bernard is a self-taught software programmer. He first joined Vivendi Universal Net as a business developer, and then run his own web agency Studio BCK, working in numerous projects grounded in fashion, travel and culture, before co-founding Le New Black.

Julie Mithieux

Sales manager

Having experienced the various aspects of the fashion business, from being a model herself to creating business development strategies to fashion agencies, Julie brings a perspective that is diverse, analytical and creative. Her skills of being a good team player and having a strong sense of empathy has made her inimitable since she has joined Le New Black.

Salome Papin

Head of Customer Success

Born and raised in Normandie France, Salome has moved to Paris to pursue her education and fulfill her passion for fashion. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in business at the European Business School, she proceeded with a master degree in Fashion Management and Luxury. Having both retail and wholesale experience at exclusive fashion houses like Prada and IRO, Salome managed to have a deep understanding of both ends of the fashion industry.

Erdem Onel

Content manager

Born and raised in Istanbul Turkey, Erdem studied sociology that helped him to understand the human relations and develop his writing skills. Graduating with his final thesis on fashion, he started to work for Shopi go, the first concept store in Istanbul as a Media and Communication Manager. He moved to Paris as he decided to have a more professional understanding in fashion and received his MBA degree in Luxury Brand Management at IFA Paris while interning at brands like Roksanda Ilincic and Dice Kayek before he became the Content Manager at Le New Black.

Luis Bravo

Account Manager

Born and raised in Mexico, Luis has moved to Paris in 2015 to pursue his studies at ESMOD ISEM and finished his Master’s degree in International Fashion and Luxury Brand Management. Since he joined Le New Black in 2017, he has been combining his analytical skills with his sensibility to fashion. In the blink of an eye, he has managed to bond with his clients and dedicated himself to give them the best Le New Black experience.

Marilyne Mercier

Account Manager

Passionate about many fields such as art, photography, travel and gastronomy, Marilyne has revealed her open-minded personality from day one at Le New Black. Her strong ability to build relationships with her clients has already started giving its fruits considering the sense of loyalty she has infused through her personality and unique sense of humour.

Mathieu Ferment

Lead developer

Graduated from Supélec engineering school, Mathieu had gained his master's degree in computing at Imperial College London. After he started his career as a PHP developer at My Little Paris, he continued working for start-ups as he finds the energy and the motivation of small scaled companies are irreplaceable.

Vincent Gorin

UX designer - Product owner

With his sporty background that boosts his intelligence and creativity Vincent has joined Le New Black to present a spotless user experience to our brands and buyers. His “learn more-do more” way of working has lead him to bring new and efficient ideas to the table every single day.

Michael Demmerle

Backend developer

Michael has worked for communication agencies as a PHP developer. His indulgence for fast-paced environments, innovative visions and creative product led him to join Le New Black Tech Team.

Geoffroy Bernard

Mobile developer

With a dedication of always moving forward, Geoffroy has worked in countries from Australia to Spain with his business degree from INSEEC until he decided to change his career path by studying technical engineering at 42 where he specialized in the iOS systems. Now Geoffroy is taking the Le New Black experience on iOS to another level.
